TLD Lookup Tool

Connect the dots:

Ever see a web address that ends in two letters? Those are specific to a country. For example, in "http://blah.blah.blah.uk" the final ".uk" means "United Kingdom", in "http://yada.yada.yada.fr" the final ".fr" means "France", and so on.

By the way, the official name for those last letters after the last dot is "Top Level Domain" or "TLD". You didn't care? Too bad, now you know anyway!

A lot of those TLDs that refer to the larger, better-known countries you can just figure out with your imagination, but others can get pretty obscure. That's why we built this look-up tool.

You can look up the associated country by entering the TLD, or you can find out what TLD has been assigned to a country by entering the country name (you can enter just part of the name if you're unsure of the spelling. The fewer letters you enter, the more countries you'll get listed in your results.)

TLD
Note for the search impaired: You only want to enter something in one of the two fields here. If you enter something in both, you'll either get no results (if the TLD you entered didn't match the country) or you'll get the TLD/COUNTRY pair you already entered. In both cases you won't have learned anything, so you kind of missed the point.
